TJ’s Furniture Finds

On a recent trip to TJ Maxx (scouting linens for our guest bathroom makeover), I spotted some amazing pieces of furniture that I had to share.  I’ve noticed over the past year or so that our local TJ’s has been getting more and more high quality pieces in stock, and these are some perfect examples!

I first spotted these traditional side chairs from afar and just had to get a closer look.  They are so very Restoration Hardware in style, but at a fraction of the price.  They were each $199, cream linen or gray, your choice.  Or you could always get one of each for a “his and hers” set.

Next up, this super cool Union Jack storage ottoman.  I could definitely imagine this piece at the foot of the bed in a teenager’s room or as a stand-in coffee table in a mod living room.

I thought $149 was really reasonable for a piece this size (it was huge at 50 x 27 x 16″), and it was really nicely detailed with red piping, tufting, and storage inside.  My favorite part was that the Union Jack pattern was not just printed on the upholstery material, but was actually made up of different colors of fabric sewn together.

Last up was one of the most adorable desks I’ve ever seen.  This one seriously would have come home with me if not for the $200+ price tag.  I thought the stenciled letters added just enough interest to the dark wood top and love the idea of being able to hide away all those office supplies when they’re not in use.

Desk Shut

When I folded the top portion open, I realized there was a lot more storage inside this little desk than I’d thought.  The slide-out desktop gave plenty of room for a laptop computer or bill-paying station.

I think I must have a thing for furniture with hidden compartments, but this was my favorite piece of the day.  Which was yours?

* Nope, I’m not sponsored by TJ Maxx – I just loved these pieces and decided to share!
