Reader Project: Love Where You Live

Projects showcasing state pride have been popping up all over the internet lately.  You’ve probably seen state paintings and jewelry and even cut-out maps showing off a person’s roots on various blogs or on Pinterest, and you might even remember the little DIY “I heart Arkansas” painting I did awhile back.

Well, at least one person took my tutorial to heart and DIY’ed her own version – actually, 4 of her own versions, to be exact!

I received the sweetest message from fellow Pinner Rachelle the other day, sharing the paintings she made for each of the FOUR states her family has called home.  I love how they turned out, Rachelle!  Great job!

Of course, if you’re less of a painter and more of a purchaser, you can always buy an original from Etsy seller Paint Me A Picture.  Either way, I’m definitely on board with the locale love trend!  How about you?

Have you done a project inspired by something you saw at Welcome to Heardmont? Send me a message at meredithheard (at) gmail (dot) com and show off your hard work!
