I’ll be the first to admit I’m a little behind on my Halloween decorating, but last week I did get a little jump start with the front door.
Most of the fall, our front door sports a pretty berry wreath.
Here’s a reminder of how we decorated our door for Halloween last year. For details on this wreath, click here.
This year I decided to spruce up the fall wreath that was on our mantel with some felt flowers. Here’s this year’s Halloween wreath!
How about a close up of those blooms?
Embellishing this wreath was a snap, and it was free to boot! I made two different types of flowers out of felt left over from Christmas presents and hot glue and attached them with bobby pins. Now they’re completely removable in case I decide to give this wreath a winter update.
The large flowers were made by following this tutorial from jones design company. Here’s the run-down in photos:
I wish, wish I could remember where I saw the tutorial for the little rolled rosettes, but I just can’t find it! Those little flowers are so easy though.
Cut out a circle, cut the circle into a spiral, and wrap up the circle starting with the center and gluing the bottom edge along the way.
Pin them on the wreath and that’s it! What do you think?
A sweet way to say Happy Halloween!
