This was a week for fabulous furniture makeovers – everything on my Friday Five list today is a piece of furniture! What can I say, I’m addicted to a great before and after. 🙂
1. I loved this chair makeover by Katie of matsutake, featured this week on Design*Sponge. The colors and pattern of the fabric (originally a Mexican dress) are so fun!
2. The shimmery herringbone detail on this desk from Ann Marie at Twice Lovely literally made my jaw drop. This pattern is right up there with a tufted headboard (from last week) on my gotta-try-it list!
3. Lovers of all things funky and mod will appreciate the bright makeover Tricia gave these tulip chairs. Check out the details on her blog Zoom In.
4. If classic is more your style, then you’ll love the vintage drafting stool makeover at The Sunset Lane. My favorite part? Kari painted that Burberry design herself, inspired by a nail polish design she saw on Pinterest!
5. Last but not least, it’s another makeover from my girl Cassie! How could I resist Cassie’s recent bookshelf redo, especially when she did such a great job filling and personalizing the shelves? More details (and a gorgeous living room in the works) at Primitive & Proper.
I hope one or more of these projects has inspired you to pick up a paintbrush or update a favorite piece of furniture this weekend. Imagine how nice it would be to revive a tired old piece just in time for your holiday visitors!
