Creating a Sunburst Mirror

You might recognize this photo from the reveal of our new entry credenza.

Were you curious about what I was planning with this mess? Some of you have probably seen this tutorial on other blogs, but here is my version of the Target mirror + BBQ skewer sunburst!

I’ve been loving all the sunburst mirrors I’ve seen for sale lately, but being more of a DIY lady myself, I was inspired by Dwellings by Devore to make my own.

Lots of hot glue and about 120 skewers later …

and I ended up with this!

I loved the finish Bethany used so much, that I just had to grab the same gold metallic spray paint. 😉

I started by spraying the back of the mirror.  I was amazed at how quickly this spray paint dried.  Ready to flip in 10-15 minutes!

Ready for the finished result?  Here she is!

Check out that mirror/ lamp/ credenza combo – Bllliiiiiiing!

I still need to accessorize this table a bit, but first I want to thank Mrs. Devore so much for the mirror inspiration!  Bloggers rock 🙂

Psssst! Get a similar mirror (3 different sizes to choose from!) to make your own sunburst mirror HERE.
