Christmas with the Heards

Happy New Year everybody!  I hope you enjoyed your holidays!

Christmas at Heardmont went by entirely too quickly this year, but we still made the most of it.  I kept the decor to a minimum and focused on making the living room feel festive.

I used a circle punch, some scrapbook paper, and my sewing machine to create the paper garland on our mantle.  Instead of ribbon this year, I just strung more paper garland on our tree.  Something about it felt really homey.

Using several examples I found on Pinterest, I updated our Chalkboard with a quote from my favorite Christmas movie.

Lucky for us, my wish came true – in the form of six inches of snow on our trip to Little Rock for Christmas!

Snow Time

Molly and Stephen had a lot of fun playing catch with snowballs, and I helped our niece and nephew build a snowman.

We loved getting a chance to spend time with both of our families for Christmas this year, and the snow was the icing on the cake!

Were you dreaming of a white Christmas this year too?  Were you lucky enough to get one?
