Giveaway: Peacock Feathers!

Happy Monday everybody!  Feels like a great day for a giveaway, doesn’t it?  Well, you are in luck because Welcome to Heardmont is happy to announce our first giveaway ever!

Last weekend when I was visiting my mom and grandma back home, my mom surprised me with a package of peacock feathers she thought would look great in our guest room makeover.  Since I’d already framed a few feathers as art in that space, I thought I’d pass the gift on to you.

Feathers in a Pile

What could you do with these pretty plumes?  Here are a few suggestions…

Feathers in a Row

Frame them up.  If you liked how our peacock feather art turned out, why not recreate the look in your own home with a piece of pretty fabric and a few frames?

Turn them into jewelry.  With a couple other supplies and a bit of time, you could make yourself a peacock feather necklace or pair of earrings like these from Etsy seller Heidi’s Jewelry Designs.

Accessorize!  How about a new hairpiece or peacock feather clutch?  Via Etsy sellers Baroque and Roll and FIAZCO.

A simpler DIY feather hairpiece tutorial can be found on my friend Anne’s blog WobiSobi here!

This clutch actually features an embroidered feather, but you could definitely recreate the look with an inexpensive clutch, a feather, and a bit of glue and thread.

What other ways can you think of to use these bad boys?

Three Feathers

I’ll be giving away these peacock feathers in sets of 3 to three lucky winners.  I should probably mention each feather is approximately 8″ long.  All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment.  Don’t know what to say?  Tell me what you would do with the feathers if you won!

This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only and closes at midnight CST Thursday, July 28th. The 3 winners will be chosen via Random.org and announced on Friday!

So what would you do with 3 peacock feathers?
