It came! The final piece to our master closet puzzle arrived today…
Did you guess what it was? A new light fixture!
More specifically, the Eden Pendant from CB2.
My sweet hubby found time this afternoon to install it for me, even though he is feeling quite under the weather. He is just the best!
Since the new light was the very last thing on our list, without further ado, here is our master closet!
Lighting is always tricky to photograph, but I just had to share the beautiful glow our new drum pendant makes.
Ahhh organization! This is my side of the closet with all my hanging clothes and shoes. It’s amazing how just putting all our clothes on the same hangers and arranging them by color brought such a peaceful feeling to the space!
One of my favorite elements from my trip to get this closet organized was this set of hat boxes. The damask print box is the perfect size to hold extra purses, and the yellow hat box ended up holding (you guessed it) hats! Even though it’s a little silly, I get such a kick out of the toilet paper having it’s own little leather and houndstooth tray.
On Mr. Heard’s side of the closet, we keep our towels along with travel bags and photo storage boxes for miscellaneous accessories and keepsakes.
With the stripes I knew we’d have going on in this room, I had to stack our accessory boxes white/black/white. 🙂
You’ll remember my jewelry storage area from when I made the jewelry board.
I thought the area beneath the jewelry board was looking sparse, so I added the little white mirror today.
Still loving my 25 cent yellow plate for corralling perfume and my wedding rings!
I can’t recommend the snack-bowl method for organizing earrings and bracelets highly enough. It brings a smile to my face every morning. 🙂
The rug I found is actually a runner from Walmart, but the colors and pattern just said “take me home!”
Believe it or not, it’s quite difficult to find solid yellow towels to match our new patterned ones. Looks like we might be getting a couple of white ones to match instead.
These boxes were $4 a piece and really finish out the space.
Now that the top shelf of our closet is actually organized, there’s plenty of extra room to store the extra pillows from our bed when we’re not using them. Recognize those yellow babies? Yep, they’re my 10-minute placemat pillows!
One more detail shot for fun…
And that’s our finished closet! Can I just say how much I love it? And how happy I am to have this room back and functional again?
If you’re anything like me (and I bet we have a lot in common if you found this interesting enough to make it this far! hi! so glad you’re here!), you love a good before and after. Just for y’all, here’s a Before and After series of our master closet!
Thank you all so much for reading along as we’ve taken this little room from nothing to a whole lotta somethin’! It’s been a fun process and so rewarding for such a small space.
